UPDATE: It appears that Daniels has almost three times as much cash on hand as Thompson, who has raised about $2 million this year. Look for Republicans to continue hitting her on the fact that most of her money comes from out-of-state unions and interest groups. Look for average Hoosiers not to care.
EARLIER: According to this Star story, it looks like the Guv has spent almost $7.3 million this year and has about $2.8 million left in the bank. My understanding is that he's already paid for his television time through September. No word yet on how much Democratic challenger Jill Long Thompson has raised. Reports are due by noon today.
It's campaign finance reporting day for statewide and Congressional candidates.
Place your bets here on which folks will show how much in the bank.
This post will be updated as soon as the reports are online or picked up by the media.

Joe Donnelly (IN-2) will have a substantial report. The amount he raises is secondary to the gap he shows between himself and his opponent. Joe is popular, hard working and he has been running a very frugal campaign thus far, working the free events to keep his name id high.
I think Jill Long Thompson will end up with close to two million. People have been donating because they know the alternative, but the zeal has not been there. Jill needs to be seen around the state; she has missed some free opportunities.
I'm pretty sure Thompson had a sizable number of post-primary paid media bills to pay off. My guess is she'll show somewhere around $1 million on hand.
I'm most interested in what the incumbents in CD03 and CD04 show. I don't think we'll have any trouble keeping the five Democratic seats we currently hold, but I wonder if we might be able to pick up one or two more.
I would also be interested in CD06. Barry Welsh ran a great campaign two years ago on a shoestring. Will his name id bring him more $$?

Also look for average Hoosiers to wonder who this woman is, and to be surprised that Daniels is not in fact running unopposed.
