He honestly reminds of Obama. A full 2 minutes of platitudes and not ONE solution. Not even a hint of an idea. Just "change" and "the time is now". Please, please, please, give me a hint what you plan to do! Doesn't anybody care that there is no plan??
The PLAN is to not be George Bush. After eight years, what more do you need to know?
Forgive me, but that's not exactly a plan.
You know, it's weird, but you don't see too many first-time voters making videos about how excited they are to vote for John McCain.
I wouldn't say that's weird Jen, it's typical. Young people (and I swear I used to be one) typically are far less concerned about facts and plans and much more impressed with "stage presence". Young people are idealistic, as opposed to realistic.
The difference, at least if the primary is any indication, is that this year, those kids are voting in record numbers. Idealistic or not, they -- and a lot of older voters -- have found a candidate they believe is really listening to their concerns.
Meanwhile, a whole lot of Republicans are lukewarm toward McCain.
You're right about Republicans being lukewarm about McCain (myself included) but I think you'll find in the general election the ever elusive "youth vote" will oversleep as always.
Polls are open 'til 6pm.
